HERREID SCHOOL DISTRICT - HOME OF THE YELLOWJACKETS AND WOLVERINES

(Part 3) We would ask parents of 6-12 students to notify the office if you are giving your child permission to leave class & attend the concert. Students who don't have parental permission will remain in their regular classes. 6-12 students will also be released for early dismissal following the elementary concert.

(Part 2) Following the concert, the teachers will take their students back to their classrooms to gather their backpacks and coats. Students will then be released to their parents or to get on the bus for the early dismissal. Please tell your child's teacher and bus driver if you are taking your child home.

(Part 1)Good afternoon! This is a reminder that the elementary music concert is rescheduled for 2:00 pm on Thursday, March 28. Mrs Borr estimates the concert to be done around 3:10 pm.

There will in-person school in Herreid this morning at 10:00. Bus will run.

Herreid School will have a 10 am start Monday, March 25th. A decision will be announced in the morning as to whether that will be a 10 am start for in-person learning or 10 am start for remote learning.

The Elementary Volleyball program will start with practice this Sunday, March 24th in Herreid at 6:00 pm for the 2nd-6th graders. Be sure to contact Coach Sandmeier for the schedule if you are not in the communication group to get any updates or cancellations due to weather. Thanks for your cooperation.

The Elementary Spring Music Concert scheduled for tonight has been postponed due to icy and snow-packed roads along with limited visibility. It has been rescheduled for next Thursday (March 28th) at 2:00 pm in the afternoon.

Staff & Students: Please prepare for a possible remote learning day on Monday, March 25th, due to weather and to avoid a make-up day on Easter Monday. Please take home your computers, textbooks, and anything you may need for your classes.

Wolverine Track pictures that were scheduled for tomorrow morning (Friday) have been postponed and will be rescheduled to a later date

With the 10:00 am start today, the 6-12 class schedule this morning will be: Periods - 1, 2, 5, (there will be no 3rd or 4th periods). Students should report to their 1st period class at 10:00 am. Lunch period and afternoon classes will be as normal. Thank you!

Due to poor driving and visibility conditions, the Herreid School will have a 10:00 am start today (Tuesday, March 5).

It's game day! The Wolverine GBB team plays Warner @ Ipswich this evening at 7:00 pm in the SoDak 16 round of play! There will be a send-off for the team around 2:30-2:35 this afternoon! Please feel free to line the sidewalks of Main Street and cheer the team bus as it rolls out of town! Go Wolverines!!!

Reminder: The Wolverine GBB team will play Highmore/Harrold in Region 6B tournament action! Game time is 6:30 pm this evening in Herreid!

Good morning! Congratulations to the Wolverine GBB team on their big win last night! The Wolverines next game of the Region 6B GBB tourney will be held at 6:30 pm on Thursday, February 22 in Herreid vs. Highmore-Harrold! Go Wolverines!!!

Attention: Tomorrow's (2/13) JH BBB games (2 games) will be played in Gettysburg. Games will tip-off at 4:00 pm. The JH BBB bus will not return home until after the varsity GBB game. Thank you!

This evening's GBB game between the Wolverines and the Leola/Frederick is Senior Night and it is also Veteran and Military Appreciation Night! Veterans, active military, and family members of deployed military will be given free admission. Veterans and military also get a free beverage and popcorn!

Attention: Due to coach and player illness, there will be NO HS BBB practice today (2/7).

Attention: I am so sorry for all the interruptions today, but there is yet another time change. The GBB varsity game at Wakpala will now start at 5:30 CST. The Herreid GBB players will be dismissed at 2:35 for a 2:45 leave time from Herreid. Fingers are crossed that this is it for schedule and time changes!

Attention! We have another schedule change! There will be NO GBB JV game versus Wakpala this evening. It will be a varsity only game which will begin at 6:30 CST at Wakpala! The Herreid GBB players will leave Herreid at 4:00 pm.
