Good morning! Just a reminder that the workday scheduled for Friday, December 15 has now become a regular school day. Making December 15th a regular school day is to make up for the school day missed in October due to a construction issue. For class schedule purposes this makeup day will be treated as a Thursday.

Tomorrow, for parent-teacher conferences, parents and guardians may access the school through the south entrance of the Old School (by the temporary business office), or the west elementary doors. Report cards can be picked up in the business office.

Good morning! This is just a reminder that school dismisses at 2:30 pm tomorrow (11/16). Teachers will be available from 3:00-7:00 for conferences with parents/guardians. All teachers will hold conferences in their classrooms, this includes Mrs. Borr in the music room and Mr. Mitzel in the shop building. Thank you!

Good afternoon! Just a quick courtesy reminder that the Herreid School will dismiss at 2:00 PM today to accommodate travel to the SoDak 16 match to be played in Chamberlain! Go Wolverines!

Tomorrow morning a fan bus sign-up sheet for the Sweet 16 VB match will be available to grade 8-12 students. Any student who signs up for the fan bus will need to bring home a permission form, have a parent/guardian read and sign it, and then return it on Tuesday. The Sweet 16 match is in Chamberlain.

Congratulations to the Wolverine VB Team on advancing to the SoDak 16! The Wolverines will play Burke in the Chamberlain Armory on Tuesday, November 7th @ 7:00 pm. Selby will dismiss at 2:30 pm and Herreid will dismiss school at 2:00 pm in order that fans have time to get to Chamberlain and eat before the game.

Good afternoon! The Wolverine Volleyball team has asked that staff and students wear black, purple, and gold Wolverine attire to school tomorrow in order to keep up with the spirit of hosting our 1st postseason VB match this season! Thank you for supporting Wolverine Volleyball!

Good evening! School will be in session tomorrow (10/26) as normal. The Wolverine VB team will be in action in the Region 6B tournament on Monday, October 30! The postseason match versus Ipswich will be played at Herreid with a 7:00 pm start time. Have an awesome evening!

Region Student Council will go as planned tomorrow . Leave from the west side of the school and stay out of the high school building. We are sorry for any inconveniences. Thank you for understanding. We are planning on having school on Thursday. Have a good evening.

The engineers will be onsite in the morning and will stabilize and shore up the column so that there is no concerns moving forward. There will be NO SCHOOL tomorrow for PK-12. There will be nobody allowed in the upstairs or basement area as the engineers. (Continued in the next message)

An issue came up today with the integrity of a support column for the upstairs. The engineers and architects met at 4:00 pm and called me a little while ago with their recommendation that we do not use the middle school/high school building tomorrow. The schedule will now go as follows: 8th grade (auxiliary gym) - 4:00 pm 6th/7th grade (auxiliary gym) following the 8th grade match "C" match - (main gym) - 5:00 pm JV match - following the "C" match. Varsity match- following JV

Good evening! We have two items of interest! First, there will be a police led escort out of Herreid tomorrow at 8:15 am for state cross-country meet qualifier Katie Allbee! Secondly, a third volleyball match has been added for tomorrow evening against Faith. The matches will now start at 5:00 pm in Herreid!

Community Reminder! At 3:15 today in the Herreid School Gym, we will hold a short pep rally to encourage the Wolverine Cross-Country team as they compete in the state meet this weekend! The community is welcome to attend!

Good afternoon! Moving forward and until further notice, the Herreid School entrance for sporting events, concerts, and other gym activities will be the west elementary school doors. The temporary concession stand will be in the preschool room which is immediately to your right as you enter the west elementary doors.

The HSA vs. Britton-Hecla Football game will kickoff at 6:00 pm this Friday at Dakotah Bank Stadium located on the beautiful grounds of Northern State University! Go Wolverines!

The Herreid Student Council will be selling HSA Wolverine Stadium Chairs! They will be available at the football game this evening or you can contact Sophia Ritter (605)380-0044 or Pausha Meidinger (605)230-0645.

The National Guard sponsored Junior Tailgate Party has been moved from the FB Field to the Pebble Drive-In! This will take place today from 5:00 PM to 6:45 PM! The Campbell County Bank will be grilling Cheeseburgers, Hot Dogs, and Brats! Enjoy some great food and then cheer on the Wolverines!
